The first of two paintings that have been the result of some extensive creative exploration. With this came a sense of freedom, without overthinking or overworking, just raw energy put to canvas. With these two pieces I took a step back to play with less paint and more of the expressive mark making I just love. These original paintings are acrylic, with pastel, pencil and charcoal, smudged to create the perfect amount of movement.
Fabulous on its own above a dining table as a conversation piece, or as a pair gracing a hallway or living room with She’s Electric II. She’s Electric II was selected to take part in the Clitheroe Contemporary Arts Festival.
